Question 2.0T How to verify faulty PCV? Guides available for replacement?

Girlfriends C7 A6 2.0T is burning oil and has 200,000 miles, so I was thinking of checking that out before anything. It only recently started consuming oil, and isn't leaking it.

I think I heard you could do something with removing the oil cap and that there should be suction (vacuum) while it idle. Then I saw a clip on YouTube with a guy verifying it by removing one of the tubes coming from the PCV and putting his finger in the hole, paying attention to how the car idles. The info from YouTube (or me) could be wrong, so it would be awesome if others could chime in. Appreciate the help!

Edit: I tried searching "PCV" using the "Advanced Search" option and it ironically returns "Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms."
