Fuel gauge stuck at / tank

My fuel gauge won’t go past / a tank and the fuel light is on. It will go down though if I’m close to empty. I did pull the fuses to try and reset the system but that didn’t do anything. Has anyone else had this happen to their b[emoji[emoji6]] a. I really don’t want to have to open up my fuel tank right now to pull the sending unit out. If anyone else has any suggestions I’m all ears.

The fuel level display has nothing to do with the engine, per se. It's just the instrument cluster and the fuel tank level sensors attached to it directly. As it's more a chassis thing than an engine thing, you'd want to ask in the forum for whatever vehicle you have. You don't say what the involved vehicle is, so we can't even speculate anything other than it probably has a two sensor config and the sensor that monitors the upper tank cavity is not working. Which would lead to "what does a scan of codes come back with for 17-instruments"?

Also, your Tapatalk or whatever it's called is likely outdated as you're having the emoji posting bug.
