    Need help 2.0t flex fuel Fuel problem ????

    P0087 fuel rail system pressure low and also P0016 Crankshaft position Camshaft Position correlation bank 1sensor codes … Quick history Engine rebuilt .Has a fuel pressure problem fuel rail pressure at idle low 150 to 167 jumping all over ..Tried new low pressure fuel pump and new high pressure fuel pump . This model doesn’t have return fuel … If I unplug regulator on top of hpfp psi increases … Help please ..

    P0016, that's easy. Stop running the engine and replace the cam shafts timing chain.

    When the chain stretch is at the limit, the timing of the cam pumping of the HPFP is not as it should be. And so you get fuel delivery failures.

    But you should be taking the cover off the tensioner inspection port on the lower timing cover and see how extended that tensioner is. If it is fully extended, every time you start that engine is a big gamble on destroying the valves.

    You say "engine rebuilt". No, not correctly, if it has P0016. The probably messed up the chain sprocket mounting.

    Yes I think timing is not done right . I’m going to pull covers off and inspect everything ..
