Engine intermittently cuts out under acceleration S5 2014 B8.5

    Hi

I've recently bought a 2014 B8.5 S5 and I've had 3 cases now where under hard acceleration form 70MPH, the engine has cut out and I've lost power. First time I pulled over to the side of the road and called recovery but the other two times I've just put tje car in neutral , turned the ignition off and back on and into drive and carried on.

The first time it happened, it threw the up the following codes:

P008900 Fuel metering unit Fuel shutoff valve signal improbable
P310B00 Fuel low-pressure regulation Fuel pressure outside tolerance

The other 2 times since no fault codes..

I have taken it to two Audi independents and they have failed to diagnose the issue. They mentioned it could be one of the Fuel pumps but they aren't sure. It hasn't happened both times the car was in for diagnosis, typical for a intermittent issue.

Has anyone else experienced the same or got any ideas on how the resolve?

Couple of things, how many miles on the car, any modifications (tune?). How much fuel was in the tank when these occurred? Low fuel pressure. Could be mechanical or just a sensor. Low pressure fuel pump or dirty filter. Could be high pressure fuel pump or the sensor is kicking it off.

74k miles. ECU and TCU tune, APR intake, smaller pulley and X pipe for mods (done before my ownership)

Twice with almost full tanks on the drive after I filled up and the 3rd time with half a tank left. Always fuelled with 99 RON Super Unleaded

I had a similar issue. The low pressure was related to high pressure pump losing pressure while sitting (car off), the cutout was due to a burned wire going into the fuel pump module. Had to replace the wire, connector, and the module. No issues since replacement.
