Low Temp Thermostat or Normal for 600hp+?

Quick question, what thermostats are people running in their higher power cars?

l'll be running around 600-650hp on 98 RON pump gas.

Should I run a lower temp thermostat for heat control or standard? Will have an RS4 aux oil cooler as well.

    Thanks!

I’m using an oem thermostat and standard oil coolant heat exchanger on a tial 770 car

    As for an oil cooler.
What’s the purpose of your car?
I would only get an oil cooler if you plan to track it

It is a daily and touring car. But I am putting an RS4 engine in it so comes with the oil cooler already. Seeing I have it I will definitely make use of it!

Keep the OE temp range thermostat. If it’s too low it can actually be detrimental to your engine and its performance.

Really depends on climate for one.

The lower temp ones can allow for a bit more timing advance. Whether that’s beneficial for you depends on a multitude of factors. Ask your intended tuner.

It’s not going to amount to drastic differences though.
