    Hello all

I have just arrived to the forum and first time owning Audi, especially SQ5. I didnt know S suspensions and S differentials were even a thing. I dont race, just driving enthusiastically from time to time, does it matter if I missed those options ?

Can I may be swap them in later down the road If I missed too much ?

    Thanks

What did you buy? It's a real rabbit hole, but suspension packages aren't feasibly 'swappable'. Improvements can be had but it's not worth trying to swap major components like that.

Look in your Maintenance Manual or what typically was the spare tire well under the boot floor, for a white sticker with a lot of 3 Letter/Number combinations. Those are PR codes and identify what components are factory fitted to your SQ5. Contact Audi of America with your VIN and ask them for the Mulroney Sticker and the full list of PR codes. Let folks on here know what you find and we can help from there.

The SQ5 by definition will already have a sportier suspension than the regular Q5; other sports related components like differential then build on from that already sportier base.

Looks like in MY '25, the brake calipers are already red, which was one feature of the Sport Package on my '21 SQ5 Sportback.

As for Air Suspension and Sport Differential, the "S Sport Package" is a $2,600 USD option on a MY2025 model, and that is not retrofitable. The Air Suspension is nice for adjusting ride height, based on conditions, and works well when pulling a trailer w/factory tow hitch (auto-leveling). As for the Sport Differential, it has torque-vectoring, which helps transition the SQ5 through corners, for example.

When the S Sport Package first appeared on the B9 SQ5 in 2018, here's a quote from Road & Track:

Underneath is where the best changes are. The new SQ5 has Audi's air suspension available, which lowers ride height by 30 millimeters and allows for height and damper adjustment. It also can have Audi's sport differential, which is a torque vectoring rear diff that can send nearly 100 percent of the power to one wheel.

Do you NEED these features? No, they are "nice to haves" depending on your expectations of the driving experience.

Yes, I realized it too little too late just right after 3 days of taking possesion of the SQ5 that the dealer had the exact same model and color but just added Sport package. As the first time Audi buyer, I didnt know the differences :(. The standard one drive amazingly well though, may even be too sporty for my wife and that she demanded me to make it more quiet, that I had to remove the D4 fuse for the soundaktivator system

It seems odd to me that on the web site the US MY25 SQ5 without the S sport package (which packages the 2MB sport air suspension and GH2 sport rear diff) appears to show as being configured with 1BL standard adaptive coil spring suspension, rather than 1BQ sport adaptive coil spring suspension.
