I have B5 RS4 I’ve been building for a while. This is very modified for an RS4 in Australia and I know that isn’t for everyone but IMO my mods I’ve done have longevity and serviceability in mind but far from OEM+.
Last time I drove it did a pull and heard a pop in the gearbox, at first i thought the box broke but it turned out I had torn the throw-out bearing in half! On the truck and a year later after all the mods where done realised couldn’t get it to go lower than 91KPA on MAP tune and did a compression test resulting in bank2 being low as 75psi dry and 100psi wet.
I have spent a fortune and blood, sweat on this car, this was my dream car for a long time but life happens and don’t have time/space to rebuild the motor again.
The price I’m looking for it think is reasonable the other RS4's on the market are High kms stock and needing all the 2.7 big ticket items you would need to spend big $. A cheap sub 50kAUD/$30kUsd car with 200,000+kms and leaks everywhere and tired K04's, just to spend thousands on getting it back to roadworthy condition. If you do the math in parts this car is worth alot more, just no time and space to do builds like this anymore.

Moderately spec’d
has Alcantara pillars and headliner (bit saggy common material is very thick high qual= heavy)
Had white seats with black everything else, I put black rear bench from another RS4 so it has the proper rs4 logos and is black leather. But fronts are white with covers was going to go pole positions but, seat warmers.
car is extremely clean always garaged all weather seals are still soft and rubbery ever the windscreen cowl under the wipers

-2.8 NA rebuilt heads Ported polished with 034 oversized 1mm valve set with valve spring set dual springs with titanium retainers (OEM RS4 heads are crack-prone so ive heard)

-TTH-TurboTechnikHamburg: 2.7TB5RS6+ Turbos (From 2.7T motorsport in Sweden, being the "+" model its a RS6 rear end with a TTH-800 wheel CNC'ed to fit into a CNC ported RS4 front housing with high flow port front and rear and upgraded RS6 wastegates). Turbo rear housing is also Coated from RACECOATINGS in Warragul in their high temp ceramic. Extremely high quality and high price on those $4.5k+ alone not including shipping pair of RS6 turbos from USA to Sweden and shipping my old K04's from Aus and THEN shipping it all back as 1 pair with headers.
- Custom 3.5" SS down pipes to suit Rs6 rear housing into a Y pipe to single 4"which then steps down into a 3" into a brand-new old stock Scorpion muffler (good sound only idled) the thing is CATLESS with 1x muffler but the (NOS) scorpion and the step down makes it very quiet for what it is. Also all V-banded for ease.
-THE-TUNER cast manifolds also coated at RACECOATINGS in high temp ceramic (also eye watering price but, these are the best for flow+fitment, with a cast design you can get shapes you can’t achieve with welds especially in a compact enginebay)
- CLUTCH MASTERS 850SERIES with twin 1x ceramic 1x organic. Big $$ Big grab
-MAXXECU from Sweden this was an absolute nightmare to get to Aus bec of EU laws but some of it came from US distributors. Its the plug n play kit for 2.7T currently running on 4.2 LSU with 2x 4.9 LSU WBO expansion modules. works extremely good out of all the pnp kits I’ve used.

Probably more mods I’ve forgotten but that’s the core of the stuff I’ve got for it over the last 9months EVERYTHING I BUY FOR THIS CAR HAS TO COME FROM EUROPE so you could imagine the logistical and financial nightmare.
Yes the bottom end. I have pulled the sump and found nothing the motor is very new, possibly a cracked ringland, impropper gap or something else havent done a teardown on the motor, currently as the car stands its running on base map just to move around the shop. Best case scenario it just needs new pistons, since the cars running fine most of the rotating assembly if not all of its is re-usable since its brand new.
