MMI Image needed for new drive

Hey all! I tried doing a search for this, but I couldn’t come up with many specific phrases to try to find something since this is pretty specific and weird.

I have a 2013 allroad with a drive that’s failing and will not copy and create an image using multiple types of software. It keeps erroring out at differing points. I even had an extra unit that I had bought a few years back when I had a bit of a conundrum while updating the software for my unit, and it was the wrong one for the US, etc. Thankfully I figured that out finally, but the hard drive in the other unit is also failing apparently.

I was wondering if any image from any MMI unit running this “HN+_US_AU3G_K0942_6” would work, and if so, does anyone have an image I can use to clone to the new drive? It’s been years since I’ve had to deal with this unit, so I forget if it’s consider 3GP or 3G+ or whatever.

Anyway, any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

    Thanks!

You do not need a disk image of an MMI3G Plus system HDD to rebuild a failed HDD. See my notes on the topic over HERE.

I don't have the cloud resources or desire to host an image of the MMI3GP HDD, but I should have one saved on my home office desktop or our home NAS (not finding it right now in the usual places). If you have a place I could upload a 16+ GB file, you are welcome to use it. --g

Would that file negate the need to do everything in the other post? If so, I could probably setup a shared folder on iCloud since I’ve got a ton of space there.

Yes, that is correct -- a valid disk image will contain the correct QNX partitions and filesystems when written to your replacement automotive/industrial HDD device. --g

That would be excellent. I'm going to PM you with a link to the iCloud folder.
