Hey all. New to owning an A8 so new to posting in this sub group.
I have a 2015 A8L 3.0L TDI. Recently my PSM failed. Long story short, got in, started driving, received message stating malfunction do not drive. Code was DTC B2000 49 - Control Module Faulty, Steering stopped working and had to be muscled at any speed. Removed PSM, sent to UpFix. They stated it was communicating but could not take new programming, then they shipped it back.
1) has anyone else experienced this?
2) has anyone discreetly installed and programmed a new PSM?
3) do I need to be concerned about the model of PSM Im putting in?
4) is there any way to avoid the Audi recommended repair of replacing the entire steering rack?
I looked through the forum but couldn’t find anything on my first pass.
Thanks in advance.
