love the shots
Thanks for the love man...I'm taking my car on her first road trip this weekend and cruising up Pacific Coast Highway from Orange County to San Francisco. Hopefully there'll be some great photo ops [:)]
But for now...

This weekend I had the amazing opportunity to take jA5mine on her first road trip up and down the California coastline. I spent 3 days, 1,117 miles, and 33 hours driving along Pacific Coast Highway from Los Angeles to San Francisco and back and absolutely had the time of my life.
Needless to say, being the avid photographer that I am, I had some great opportunities for new photos that I’d never be able to get shooting around LA. That said, here are some of my favorite shots and moments from my trip...
Pismo Beach

Splash Cafe - everyone I know that’s been to Pismo Beach swears by this place

And I must say, this chowder bowl is hands-down one of the best I’ve had!

Pismo Beach Pier

I also had to stop by Morro Bay to see this famous big ass rock...

After Morro Bay, I stopped by a few of the beaches in the Cambria/San Simeon area. Pretty cozy little area and you can see Hearst Castle even from PCH.

Further up PCH, there were some beautiful views of the ocean from the cliffside and by Bixby Bridge

And even further up...

Day 2 started with a very early morning on Cannery Row in Monterey. Turns out this past weekend was also the Cherry Jubilee event which is a huge annual show for classics. Unfortunately couldn’t stay to check out all the cars, but I saw a few of them that arrived early for parking.

After Monterey, I booked it up to San Francisco, across the Golden Gate Bridge, and continued along Highway 1 that overlooks Stinson Beach

I didn’t stay very long because the part of the trip I was most-looking forward to was driving along Panoramic Highway which connects Stinson Beach back to Highway 1, but through the mountains.

This was by far my favorite part of my entire 1,117mi trip...so much so that I went through it 3 times before deciding to finally leave and head back down to Santa Cruz. It was absolutely beautiful up there with the ways the trees seemed to stretch into the heavens and the way the sunlight seeped through the leaves to dance on your car. I also took my favorite photo of the trip on this road.

Day 3 started with a warm-up drive from Santa Cruz to Big Basin Redwoods State Park, then the real fun started from there through Castle Rock State Park. Roads were about as twisty and narrow as it gets, but quite the thrill. Stopped off at a few turnouts just to soak in the beautiful scenery...it was so quiet out there that even while I was taking photos of my car from down the road, I could still hear my music with my windows up.

And finally, after some 750 miles of driving up the coast, in-and-around curvy cliff sides and magnificent mountains, it was finally time to start heading home. Couldn’t miss this chance to get a few shots of beautiful Big Sur...

And last but not least, stopped by the Elephant Seal Vista Point to hang out with these guys for awhile

Were you on the clubrsx.com forums before you got the Audi?
Yeah, I was pretty active there, but it's been years since. I still have it - 2005 Blaze Orange with CF hood and PowerGetter :)

I thought your name looked familiar. I was active on there for a while myself. 05 turbo typeS. Wish I still had that thing.

How have I not seen this thread since you posted all those pics of my hood?? Great shots; looks like you had a blast. Looking forward to seeing the new wheels
Opted for 19s Joey...I think I'd die rollin' through Vernon/LA on 20s [:(]
I'm sure you will! Come out to some of the meets some time [up]
Trust that I'll be back up there soon...that trip was incredible. Stay tuned...new photoshoot as soon as I find time to get my tires mounted!
They look real good, I don't know which one looks better. I'm a sucker for spokes though
looks like cv2's on one end and the sport package 18's on the other lol

Those are going to look really good [up]
I hope they are sponsoring you in some way. Those pictures are twice as good as their promo pics, and you've made me actually like them, whereas I originally did not.
I'm usually a spoke wheels kind of guy, but seeing a lot of the builds here has definitely opened my mind to the mesh (looking at you Ben!)
I've got plans to do a titanium/gunmetal tint on my window trim and grill to match and make it a little more aggressive without completely blacking the car out--thoughts?
Alex--haha thanks man. They are, in fact, helping me out a little ;) Hope my future pictures sway you a little more :)

Use your Audi center cap
Black out that car so we can be COC twins.
Great looking 5 and love the build. Looking forward to seeing those wheels mounted up!
Nice work!

Did VMR kick you down with tires too? if so that's dope that gave you Toyos, Niche gave me Federal tires :(
But yeah as Mops stated DO NOT use that center cap, it very cheap looking.
Congrats on the new wheels!!! Use an Adams Quick Sealant to protect them ;-)
