Hello all.

Not 100% sure how to describe my issue other than it being a fuel cut while trying to open her up. I would say it happens in every gear. Car is a 6-speed manual with a Stage 2+ APR tune.
What happens is the car bucks when I push the gas down. I can't say with a certainty how much throttle I use for it to happen but I can hit some boost without this condition occurring.
I'm gauging to see who has had a similar issue and what others have done to remedy this.

Thanks.

Scan and also log your HPFP and LPFP pressures when going WOT.

If LPFP drops below 4 bar, it'll do this. Might go up if you change fuel filter but if not, would need a new one.

Thank you for that quick response. I was suspecting the LPFP because it's never been changed and the fuel filter I changed once about 12 years ago lol.

Hook up the VAG-COM and take a look at the LPFP duty-cycle at idle. Should be around 50% or under. If higher, it is an indication of being on its way out as it is struggling to provide the fuel needed/requested by the ECM.

My son's B7 was like that, bucking and throwing codes. New LPFP fixed the issue.

Have you scanned it for codes? Cuz even when a coil pack is starting to go bad, it'll start missing under boost first, obviously because of the harsher conditions in the cylinder. I'd make sure you're not just getting misfires first.
Also can log fuel pressures(230/231).
