2007 A4 B7 battery dead (sedan)

I have been doing a bit of reading and so far I gather to replace the battery ,no coding or computer resets are necessary? I just want to make sure before buying a battery and doing the job myself. 200 dollar shop rates are crazy expensive. Any tips would be awesome. Also I guess I have to reset the fob and the auto window.

On the B7, nope. Just swap and go. The B8s and newer have coding.

You will need a long socket extension though to reach the bolt at the base of the battery that locks the holding stand in place.

Thanks for the tips. I did have to invest in a few new tools. as I was replacing the battery I found my window washer line busted,always something on this car. LOL

jesus what a friggen boat anchor that battery is .. no wonder this car understeers unless you are giving it lots of throttle lol ..
