Goo Gone works best, Wax also works depending on how heavy the glue is

make sure you wash and wax the area afterwards, since most of those products will strip all the wax off the paint as well.

BOILING WATER.... boil water.. apply it to a towel.. apply towel to the "goo" for about 15 seconds and rub it (using the hot towel if your man enough)... you will see the good dissolve and save your fingers the pain. ive tried numerous methods debadging numerous cars -- this is the most effective (use a microfiber towel to avoid scratching and make sure its boiling water).
I used 3M Adhesive Remover. Worked just fine. I just wish it hadn't cooled down the night I did it. It kind of made it more of a PITA than it needed to be.

when I de-badged, I used WD-40 and it seemed to work pretty good. you can still tell something was there if you get your face 6 inches from my car.

Peanut butter........really?

i used to use rubbing alcohol and my fingernail
i don't think goo gone is that much better, but yeah... i kinda see a shadow of where my a4 sign used to be... i did debadge after 3 years. i'll try some wax this weekend.
also, be careful with fishing wire, pull towards your body as to not scratch the car. i like to use dental floss, a little less abrasive.

your fingernails will leave so many scratches... which is why you use a damp cloth to rub
