Is it correct in assuming the PSS10 is easier to adjust from track to street, while the KW V3 offers more adjustability (hence better track handling) at the cost of having to jack the car up and adjusting (as well as drilling a whole on strut tower (top)?

Will the V3 be harsher overall on street or will that added adjustability prove to also be better for daily driving?

While quite a bit more expensive, have you considered the KW DDC ECU coilovers? They are electronically adjustable without having to get out and manually change settings.

Can those be used with a car that didnt have factory DDC? How much adjustment would I do from inside vs outside the car? Price is not an issue for me. Is the juice worth the squeeze in this case?

They have a stand alone ECU that can be used if your car didn't come with them from the factory. KW's website would have the specs and info you're looking for.

So this connects to ECU and controls damping with Drive Mode selection? Or does it its own control? I think you can ser it up with Phone app also?

I’ve had this kit installed since 2021 and it is one of my favorite upgrades - completely transformed the car.

I had the a4 b8.5 stock comfort suspension so car sat high with soft springs.

I was looking for adjustability from within the cabin so the DDC system was perfect.

Basically you’re setting the ride height like normal coil overs (under/outside the car). The dampening rate is then controlled from inside the cabin. The kit comes with a button that installs in the cabin allows you switch between comfort, sport, and sport + modes on the fly. Comfort is soft and floaty with body roll. Sport plus is planted and rigid - you feel every bump in the road and car corners flat. Sport is in the middle (what I usually drive in). Then you can use your phone and the app to create custom modes. I have the app module but honestly haven’t used it much - it is an add on purchase - it was called WLAN module or something like that.

The system plugs into the car’s computer and adjusts the dampening in the shocks based on your speed and road conditions. Basically it tightens up as you go faster and automatically adjusts to keep the car flat.

The only issue I had was that the rear sat a bit low - which is a known issue with these springs. KW sells spacers for the rear that remedy the situation. I installed the spacers and hasn’t been a problem since.
