This is highly anal and will probably be hard to tell from the pics but I'm trying to figure out how to lower the left tip of my passenger side AWE Touring Exhaust.

I have VERY LITTLE wrench experience but the shop I used to do the work closed so until I find another I thought I might seek help here.

Essentially that passenger side set isn't level so when you look at it from the rear it looks off. In addition that left tip of the passenger side if resting against the body on the top of the tip which I'm guessing isn't ideal.

I tried loosing the clamp on the tip and adjusting it down with no luck. Any advice on how to correct and any guidance on if I should attempt it myself?

It's all in the alignment. What I did, was loosen the clamp, tweak it to where I wanted, and torqued the heck out of the bolt.

to be clear you just undead the bolt on the tip clamp and moved the tip itself, not further back on the exhaust?

I tried that briefly but wasn't able to move the tip, is that single clamp the only thing holding it in place....I guess I can put more muscle into it.

Thanks,

JW

No, not the tip, the pipe underneath. That's the part that needs to rotate. Start with the one closest to the muffler, but you might have to go all the way back to the one by the center res. What I did was got everything lined up and used a couple of jackstands to steady it where I wanted (the car was backed up on ramps) and then torqued everything down. It's hard to get right.

Look at AWEs installation instructions. They detail where to use a pry bar to get everything properly positioned.

Supersprint is not quite as accommodating so I drilled the exhaust hanger bracket and used a large bolt in place of the pin to raise one side slightly.
