So I’m looking to do drop in rods while I do this rebuild. I see IE makes rods for stock pistons. But cts turbo also makes drop in rods. Link below to the cts rods have anyone used the cts rods?

Hello,
I doubt CTS make rods. Seemingly they are selling rods under their name. You could email them and ask what producer they are using. IE of course are tried and tested.

Anyways, if you want 20mm pin there are additional options. I for example use K1 rods (part of Wiseco) with 20mm pins.

If your only looking for 400hp range, any forged rods are fine. Hell, ive seen plenty of 1.8t guys use MaxSpeedingRods in BT builds, and last just fine.
They both come rifle drilled, which is little better for something that's gonna get a lot of miles. If I didn't already buy IE. I'd have no issues buying CTS.

They do make rods, (well idk if they themselves make them, or they put source them) but the link above says they are for out cars, just wanted anyone’s experience that has ran them.

Yeah I was looking at the cts rods, cause they are 359.99 on sale with rifle drilling, were the ie are 571. So I was like if they are the same, I wonder if there good/and truly drop in lol.

In my experience, CTS makes good products and wouldn’t put their name on anything crap. At that price I’d buy them.

I misread what you said, I didn’t mean any disrespect if it came off that way! Thanks for the feedback!
