RS4 Dead Pedal Substitute

I was able to get a set of new RS4 pedals for the gas, brake and clutch on eBay Germany for a great price, $100, but it seems like the Dead Pedal/Footrest is just unobtanium-crazy priced when they come up for sale.

So, I noticed when looking that there are a bunch of different Audi Dead Pedals which are similar, and the most similar is the 2000-2006 TT. Found one at the local pick-n-pull for less than $10. It is larger, thus needs to be trimmed down...out comes the angle grinder and steel cutting blade. Some minor adjustments to the cut, adding a slight bend at the top, and it looks better than I expected. Just need to pick up some fasteners to button it up.

Have you tried a junk yard? On the last B7 model year (2008) in NA, those with a full S-Line interior package often came with RS4 Stainless Pedals as standard. That was certainly the case for Canadian models are are present on my Avant.

Yep, combed the local yards, which is where I found the TT version.

Did see that one too...darn B8 owners must have consumed all of the B7 RS4 pedals and/or driven up the price. [:D]

Still keeping my eyes open for a decent-priced used one. Until then, this suits my needs.
