Hi. I just did my timing chain. JUST realized I tightened bolts (80ftlbs.+90*) instead of (80nm + 90*).. Should I replace the bolts and redo? Thanks...Vince

With a torque to yield bolt like that, I wouldn't screw around.
With a normal bolt, confusing ft-lbs and nm means overtorqueing by 40%. Probably fine, if the threads don't strip. But for stretch bolts, I really doubt the stretch is linear if the starting points are different (80 nm vs 80 ft lbs), so there's no way to know how much you've over stretched the bolt. It could be fine, or you could have stretched it right past the plastic zone and it's a toothpick.

I ordered new bolts. Do I remove the gears then redo or Just replace bolts? Thank you..
