Is anyone using another ~440cc or comparable cc size injector with their big turbo instead of the Greentops.
1st hand experience preferably.
How do you like'em compared to the greentops?
Did you see any gains using the different injector?
Idle behavior?
lean conditions?
Thank you in advance... [up]

delphi/lucas has a poor pattern for the 20v 1.8t heads. No improvement over the bosch greentops imo.

I run genesis 415cc's @ 3.5 bar. I love them, smoother rev range, better idle, better top end.

There definately is an improvement over the greentops for idle.. but I know the triple spray pattern isn't ideal, but it works fine for me!

i should have a set of APR's injectors coming in, I'll let you guys know how that goes. If you can get your hands on that you should try it.

I've was looking at alternative 440cc/min injectors before I found the APR's, you might want to try Bosch "green giants"

Not too bad at $250/set of 4

Are you nDBW? APR uses some OEM porsche/bosch injector for their GT28R and GT28RS cars.

another option would be the RC injectors that come with the PES T28 kit. They are pricy though ;p

I run Greentops myself.. heh

I run the 415's @ 3.5 bar for 440 flow. I did that over the 430's because of the adapters you would have to run on the plugs.

genesis injectors are good but only the 415's fit well on the rail and plug. The larger ones require different plugs.

the RC's are the same as all lucas/delphi.

I haven't gotten a chance to try the bosch green giants but they sound like they have a single wide cone like the seimens dekas

What size are those APR stage 3 injectors?

415 + 3.5bar = 440 for the drive by cable cars so yes, they do work well

The APR's S3 are around 450cc/min at 3bar. APR wouldnt give me more details about them other than it comes off a P-car. I suspect since the P-cars are flat six, these injectors have to be off a turbo one to get that high of a flow rate. which one I have no idea.

it's funny how APR is so cryptic about everything. It's not like they re-invented the wheel. GRanted, they put out a super refined product but I'm half tempted to go searching around through their dumpster just to make them paranoid.

Yepp, I love them. The idle is perfect, higher rpms feel stronger not to mention the entire rev range feels smoother. Also quicker throttle response than my greentops. I was going to write a full review on them but never got around to it.
