Hello Audi Lovers

I own a 2013 Audi S4 with a 137,000 miles on it. I had a warning light randomly come on and off that says "Transmission over heat. Please drive conservatvly". Then the car started to run at a high rpm and drive at a slower mph. Then the light would randomly go off and the car would drive normaly. Drove for days no issues. Then the light would randomly come back on and off. No driving style and or outside temperature would cause it come on or off. The light came on one time in the morning after it sat all night then went off. I did read a form that said it could possibly be the transmission filter so I changed the fluid and the filter. Drove for a few days. Then the light would start to randomly come back on and off.
Any Guidance would Greatly Appreciated.

Gotta pull the codes off of it either using VCDS, OBDs or have a pro shop scan it. Can’t help without knowing all the codes that it is throwing.

I Use car scanner pro to monitor oil temps at trans, engine oil, and coolant. It’s less than 10 dollars and can log parameters very well. If you set the monitors on your dashboard of the app it will log all parameters any time the app is open. If you see sudden spikes and drops in the log it’s probably a failing sensor or connection. I use a veepeak wireless obd adapter. Been plugged in for the last year and a half and works really well.
