Purchased another s4 B8 for a really good price from a buddy. It is currently at stage 1 034 tune and I’m slowly going to take it to stage 2 and no further. Knowing the fueling issues with these cars I’m going to upgrade the piston in the hpfp. Was wondering if there are any better drop in options for the low side pump. Chassis has 160k miles but engine has much less. All supporting mods for stage 2 are either here or in route. Since I dont believe be low side has been changed I believe now is the time. I don’t mind going with a new factory drop in but was curious if there is some better options available now. I did some searching couldn’t really find an answer. I do plan to splash the the tank with a bit of e85. Thank you for the help and support. Regards

Usually you would need to have a tune for whichever pump you're running, I don't think you can just drop in a pump and have it run correctly.

Can't go wrong with OEM.
You can side strap a walbro or add a bap but those are just band aids. As it stands, we really don't have a significant fuel upgrade outside of just upgrading your hpfp. Folks will claim the rs7 pump but that's not really a performance upgrade.

Get a boost a bump voltage boosting module. Guys on the FB group have done that and its as close to a drop in solution as you can get. Otherwise youve got to create a new basket and crap and its a lot of work.

Yeah Oem it is. I do like the boostapump idea. I ran one on my Vette and made over 800whp. Are guys just using a Kenn bell bap or is there something specific to our platform? Thank you for the responses. Much appreciated

If you get a BAP, get on that is switchable or has the hobs switch contacts external. That way you can turn the BAP on when you need it. The car uses a controller to regulate voltage to the pump so you can boost voltage too it full time if you want too but the life of components becomes questionable.
RS7 fuel pump wont work in a B8 only b8.5. Different styles of pump and controller.

Yeah for now I’m just gonna replace the pump assy with oem and keep an eye on things. Thanks again.
