So, I need a new bumper cover, reasons why TBD. But it there any significant difference between a S-Line bumper and a non?
install? bolting? I am not looking for cosmetics.

Guessing front bumper. Non-S is just kind of rounded whereas the S bumper has a couple parts up front by the fogs that jut out a bit. Just better looking. The DTM is a whole separate look.
Install/bolting is identical to your original.

Yes front.
Not looking for a DTM or RS look, just want to replace stock. Is the baseline the same as the S-Line? Can I use a baseline to replace the S-Line as a bolt-in?

They are a direct swap, can move over the fogs, washers, homelink etc. Difference is the grill, sline being the odd ball.

Cool! Not worried about the grill, going to the honeycomb anyway, and I need to change the AC fan so this is a good timing thing.
I was more worried about boltup, fitmet, screws, etc... you know.

Only few differences I know of are the fog lights mounts and smic ducts. Base bumper has extra pieces to mount the fog lights, and the "scoops" for the smic's are dif from base to S-line.

Well you kind of need to be worried about the grill. There are no aftermarket honeycomb grilles for the S-line/S4 so you need to go the OEM RS4 grille route ($$$). There are tons of options for the non S-Line.

From my understanding, his is S-Line. He’s considering going with a Base bumper cover, so his honeycomb grille options are better. It’s his current setup that’s limited to S-Line / S4 and RS4.
