Morning Audi Ppl

I have been looking, but getting conflicting Info, regarding A4 B6 and B7 upper control arms being the same, or not.
Our local parts sales ppl, are not too clued up either.

They have the B6 uppers listed loose, and only kits for B7. Only mu uppers are shot.

Will B6 uppers ( the 2 left, and the 2 right) fit and work in a B7.
I read that the lowers are different. Can any one please confirm. Thank you

I bought some budget adjustable upper control arms for my avant and the fitment stated 98-08 A4.

Fitment:

Audi

1998-2008 A4 (FWD/AWD)

1990-2004 A4 Quattro (FWD/AWD)

I also found an old thread on another forum and someone there said they are the same. Hope that helps.

Yes, uppers are the same from b5-b7 iirc, lowers are same for b6/b7, just b7 uses a dif style bushing on the one lower arm..

What i found when doing my uppers was that there are actually different ones for the B7 depending on suspension type. The S-line that i have has different bushings and thus different part numbers for the two uppers.

I've never seen a note, for any control arms, stating "w/sport". Really surprised there would even be a difference for the sport suspension..
Now I'm curious, gotta check ETKA, lol.

My understanding is that the B7 A4 went to the S4 PN bushing on the uppers. They are stiffer and seem to hold up better. As noted, most aftermarket kits have the same bushing regardless of year and 99% of the time its the softer one.

Standard bushing (B6 A4 type)
