Can anyone help me find what part number I should be looking for on my Xenon headlight. The part number list on the actual headlight is 4G0 941 031 D. But I cannot find that part number in the part catalog. The closest one to mine I think is 4G0 941 043 E?
I am not sure of all the exact specs of that light...I know I have cornering lights and think I have range control. Is there a parts list someplace and possible a compatibility chart telling what part would replace the 4G0 941 031 D?
Even online while searching for used parts, nobody has the 031, mostly the 005. The issue I am having is the headlight leaks badly but I cannot find the leak location and not sure if I can seal it up. So, looking for option to replace the whole housing...that won't break the bank! [:/]

As much as it hurts my fingers to type, you might actually want to get with the Dealer and ID the part number. With all the little features you have, there might be a better chance of success in a one and done through them.

As for the leak... do you know where it's leaking in from? Is the Byutal seal intact? Are the covers tight and installed correctly?

It doesn't look like you removed it, but have you checked the drain tube? Is it seated on the drain for the headlight?

Couple of options to check before a replacement is warranted!

Cheers,

I could not see any issue with the seal around the headlight cover but I have to remove it to be sure. I can pour a small water bottle over the headlight and it immediately fogs up! but cannot see how it is getting in. I checked the drain tube and it is open and also check the inlet vent. It was dirty but cleaned it up and replaced.
So next step is try and remove the headlight but I just can't seem to access that bolt hidden way up behind the headlight to remove the bumper skin. Going to try again this weekend since I found out the size, 10mm. You need a long extension and it is a blind access hole so hope I don't drop that bolt! [o_o].
Once removed I plan to try and reseal around the cover in the hopes of stopping the leak.
