My airbag light is still on, I left my VAG-COM in Europe unfortunately and now I have nothing to check it with. My dash looks like a christmas tree.

my abs has been down and out since the start of the year. Is that module covered under the audi certified preowned warranty? Or will they try to weasle out of it and call it a wear and tear or something?

Just replaced mine about a month ago. Kind of a PITA, but well worth it.

Mine's started to go crazy. I know a couple reputable rebuilders but they want 250+ shipping.
I've seen a few ebay ones that want less then 200 bucks shipped. They seem to have good feedback too.
Has anyone tried the ebay rebuilders?

A local shop wants about 100 bucks.
It seems to be straight forward to remove it though.
There's a couple sites with detailed instructions.

Anyone else notice your car doesnt stop as fast? I read that when the ABS module is bad it changes the brake bias to me more towards the rear, thus taking away from front braking power which is 80% of your stopping force.

Anywas this is at least what I noticed when mine went bad.

I need to bleed my brakes but I am gonna wait till I get back the module.

don't go spend $ before changing the oil..

my garage said my ABS module gone south, but i asked him to change the oil first and see how it goes, and CEL was immediately gone.

i would jsut go and spend the money to send it out and get it rebuilt. modulemaster gives a warranty on it, and its easy, simple, no problems and worth the 250$. i woudln't go the ebay route.

I didnt notice that. It beeps and abs light goes on and brake light blinks for a while but nothing else. Well, when its flashing no abs but other then that it seems the same.

the pn on mine is 8e0 614 111p.

When mine went bad on my audi, it completly blocked fluide from getting to my rear passenger brake! i thought it felt a little funny, but i didnt realize this was the issue until i went to bleed my brakes

Is yours rebuilt? That part number is one of the many that are actually defective modules.
