View Full Version : where is the homelink unit located in the b5s?

In the B6's its directly underneath the passenger headlight strapped right behind the bumper cover.

is it in the same place in b5's?

Its this little black box thas like 3" x 3" x 1".

If you guys have seen it please let me know how to get to it in b5s because im having someone sell me his.

i don't think it was available on the a4. the 2001 s4 biturbo that i had for a company car had it. the 3 buttons were in the sunvisor but i don't have a clue about anything else beyond that.

b5 did have it but it is in the sunvisor.

i think he is talking about the transmitter for it. not the buttons.

so if you guys program your homelink you dont aim the remote control unit at your front bumper corner? you aim it at your visor?

when u prog the homelink in a b6 you aim the remote control at your passenger headlight corner.

yah, i was gonna say i figured it out myself by just jacking around with the buttons sitting in the car outside in the driveway facing towards the garage door. i sent it up and down a few times holding the button in, then doing this and that... and eventually it worked.
