well im getting my car back, and the shop told me that my car had a leak from the coolant, which i already knew.

they said that the leak is coming from a heater radiator or some sort that has to do with the coolant.

now, i never use the heater or a/c, but they said they could re route my lines to fix, but i dont wanna lose my a/c or heater....

is there really a radiator for the heater? and will that cause my car to leak coolant?

thanks!

it is called a heater core. it is how the cabin gets heated. the blower blows air over the heater core (little radiator in a box buried under/inside the dash) and through the vents. bad heater cores will leak and things just get nasty from there.

let your car warm up and then turn the heat on. if it smells like a musty mix of sweat socks and maple syrup then you have a leaky heater core. i have one too.
