I am trying to replace the oil filter housing (entire assembly with gasket) on a family member's 2012 A6 with the 3.0T. I have both triple square bolts, the triple square nut, and the small bolt near the top out of the housing out. I have followed the factory repair manual instructions but have run into a snag when trying to remove the housing. The stud which is used as one of the fasteners is stopping me from sliding the housing out through the top so it will have to be pulled out away from the block first to clear the stud. The issue is a wire running from somewhere under the supercharger is tight against the housing and stopping me from pulling it away from the block. I have attached pictures where you can see the PCV hose and just inside of that is the smooth rubber jacket of the wiring harness that I am talking about. It appears to lead to a metal bracket that attaches to the driver side head. It does not appear that, if I disconnect the connector at the metal bracket, it will come loose since the female side of the connector is on the opposite side of the metal bracket from the oil filter housing. Hopefully pictures will help show this. Any advice would be appreciated.

How did you end up getting around this cable/harness? I'm looking to do this job soon and am trying to get all the info I can. From the videos I've seen, there hasn't been a similar harness in the way and usually just the plastic SAI hose needs to be moved.
Just did this today. Keep in mind my pcv hose was off that goes to the valve cover. SC also off for other work.
Re: wire around filter housing. I was able to remove both connectors from the bracket. Then disconnect the connecters and move the wires out of the way. I felt the bracket needed to be moved also to access the 10mm on the oil filter housing. Two T-30s. Top screw is easy, bottom not so much. At the bottom on the bracket is another connector that i pulled out of the bracket to gain access to the lower screw.
The oil filter housing barely clears the stud because of the SAI hose (disconnect the SAI at front of engine to get more play at the T). You could remove the SAI hose from the combi and removal of housing would be much easier.
