New A5 owner. Trying to figure out if AudiCare is worth it.

We be grateful if some folks in New England could chime in with how much they paid for oil changes, and 35/40k DSG service.
I'm thinking the DSG service alone is worth having AudiCare.

Will be doing oil changes every 5K since it take short trips in stop and go. Will bring to dealer every 10k and DIY in between (5k).

Thanks

I got AudiCare - some people think its not worth it but being able to include all that in my loan at a ridiculously low rate + the time value of money made it seem pretty nifty to me.

Nothing like dropping her off at the dealer for a major service and picking it up with no cost. Best feeling in the world!

Oil changes are about $100. The dsg service will only be the 1 filter and not both. I had audi care come with the car so can’t speak to the cost.

Audicare is definitely worth it for the A5. Is it brand new or just new to you? The 10, 20, 30, 40k is a great deal, but it’s also beneficial to do the 30/40k package if you’re just trying to get the major 40k service discounted. I work at Audi Natick. If you have any questions, feel free to message me.

Also a great idea to do oil changes every 5k miles if you plan on keeping the car for a while.

Audi Brookline just quoted $180 for oil change outside of Audi Care. I had my last oil change done at 17k miles so they wanted me to wait till 25k or June for another free one.

I got it done at Ray Team Auto for $130ish.

I try to get my oil changed every 3 - 5k. I can't imagine waiting 10k miles on a car I plan to keep for any length of time after warranty.

The reason it’s a 10k interval is so they the manufacturer keeps their “cost of maintenance” down on their stats. If keeping the car you’ll want to do them every 5k. 3k is a little excessive imo.

Like I said, I'll aim for about 5k - but I was in a position where I was having other work done and the car had been sitting in the shop for a while so I decided to include it in the statement of work.

Little did I know I'd be back to the shop so soon to do sway bars and a boost gauge.

I found a perfect gauge mount for my car (https://aeroforcetech.com/products/audi-b9-single-gauge-pod-fits-a4-s4-rs4-a5-s5-rs5-q5-qs5-2017-present) and I found a Defi boost gauge (expensive, but they are the best) that matches my interior.

I also found a guy with a brand new in box set of 034 sway bars for almost half the MSRP.

Every time I tell myself I'm done modding and I'm going to save money its like life laughs in my face.
