2017 A6 C7 2.0T..... there is a small pipe on the front of the engine with a removable plug. Looks like it's for filling the transmission but I haven't a clue. Anyone know what it is?

Does it go to the engine or the transmission? On the 3.0 there is a dip stick tube that has a plug in it.

These transmissions are all sealed. That means no dipstick; all draining and filling is done from underneath. As Valpo A7 pointed out, there is a dipstick tube that has a plug in it.

The plugged dipstick tube on a 3.0 Litre is for the oil level check ... with an appropriate VW stick; maybe the same (oil level) for the 2.0 litre ...?
