Good afternoon. I have the standard IPod 14 pin plug in for an IPod in my glovebox and bluetooth connectivity with my Pixel 6. The volume is very limited via bluetooth and I am asking if a 14 pin to lightning cable for a recent IPod will work for my car (2016 allroad premium plus). I would just like to have some of my tunes cranked in my car and not a 1/5 volume. Thanks!

AMI to Apple 30-pin cable, not 14-pin. It has the red ring around the cable at the device plug end?
If you can find an Apple lightning to 30-pin adapter, sure. But anything other than the legit Apple device is subject to not work. From Audi's TSB on the AMI cables: "Aftermarket 30-pin to 8-pin (ie, lightning) adapters are not guaranteed to work and often have incorrect firmware." Seems being charged is a concern as well?

You could just get the AMI to Apple lightning cable for MMI 3G+ (as you must have that if you're able to stream audio over Bluetooth without an AMI to Bluetooth cable), which has the yellow ring. Then it can send cover art, though it can't play video since lightning eliminated the analog video lines.

As for the Bluetooth, it should work fine. You might need to dig more into why the Pixel is transmitted a reduced volume level. Maybe there's an app layer volume and a device layer volume?
