I bought this dumpy old wagon a good few months back from a car show, 1990 model year with the 2.3l NF engine and 5 speed manual. A good deal considering the price I paid, still needs some work though. 3500€ for a car with only 215k on it, not bad.

I drove the damn thing well over 10k in a few months, and in that time the radiator blew, and the alternator died. Radiator was only 3 years old so I figure I may just have a case of a leaky head gasket. Combine that with the poorly mounted and loud exhaust that has a tendency to bang up against the chassis, and a suspension so worn out that I could convince a friend its made from pool noodles, and I am in for a loooot of work. And I am a complete amateur :)

I will keep posting here as I do maintenance and other stuff to it, I might just need help with finding parts and other things. God knows some of the rubber seals on this thing are complete unobtanium.

I started off by buying a set of Ronal Gullideckels, gotta get them smoothed and painted. Same thing with both front fenders, the corners of the rear side windows, and the trunk. Rust is a bitch, though for a car that has been thru 33 Finnish salt filled winters, its not too bad. Here is hoping I get it looking sharp before summer rolls around, I was hoping to get it into a car show without looking like a complete idiot. Also got a snow ring day coming soon in Lapland, so I gotta tighten the handbrake for that :))))

Turns out the car ran out of inspection like 4 months ago, my mistake. Gotta redo the rear brakes and shocks completely, as well as the cardan support bearing. Well, better to have an actually good rear than one that barely functions.
