So I had to end up getting my b8 s5 to Molle kc audi and vw. They called me today. Both highflow fuel pumps need replaced and the ecm and harness also need replaced
The fuel pumps are bad and leaking. Which in turn ruined the ecm and harness. They quoted me at just over 12grand to get her back. If anyone has any ideas to keep her in the family please enlighten me. Or if you or someone you know would like to purchase her from me that would also be acceptable. Hope your day has been better than mine.

Not sure how handy you are OP, but after a quick google search it looks like replacement (New) pumps are about $1000 and a full replacement engine harness is about $2000. Seems like you could easily do this at home for a fraction of the cost.

If you dont, I'd say get a second quote that is not from the dealer.

My 2010 S5 blew it's ECU - my indy shop couldn't do it, the local Audi dealer wanted $3.5k, I pushed and they did it for $2.5k. This was a car with 135,000 miles. The HP fuel pumps are another problem, but I can't see this being more than a $5 or 6k project.

Good luck

Any independent shops around you?

Dealer is going to be the MOST expensive and their repair estimate likely will include parts and service Audi policy dictates and may not necessary.

100% look for independent German/Audi mechanics. Call around. Look ath threads for your area. Here are some results
