Hi Audizine Members!
Jackal Motorsports will be updating people on the CREC platform for all platforms here, so this is not limited just to the A6 platform but will be a great place to point people as we do make progress. We officially purchased a used 2018 A6, It will start its journey at 113,500 Miles so that all results we share will not be on some unicorn that has 15,000 miles on it. The plan is, like all our tuning, to start at Stage 1 and get as close to the record as possible if not better with a repeatable tune. We will share what's on it for mods for that stage, Draggy results and slips when we go to the track with it. We will be building out many tunes for each stage as there is full support for E85 plus a ton of extras as we break apart the ECU and other systems on the car. Read below, as always if you want something looked into and there is enough interest we will add it to the roadmap.
1) Tuning - Stage 1 / 2 / 2+
2) Fueling support for each stage (If it can handle it) - 93 / E40 / E85
3) TB Support for whatever TB Upgrade you do
4) Full support for all tunes if you replace or weld the SC pulley (We are also testing out some alternatives which we will review when its official)
5) Flex / Map Switching - Depending on if the pinout is what we think it is, we can add in flex support or just map switching (3 Maps). Eventually this will be 93/E40/E85
6) Full Fan to cool the HX with button or cruise toggle
8) Locked SC (all the time) - we have noticed no decrease in MPG with it locked vs unlocked on 3 tanks of gas
9) Leaving here to add more!
For Stage 1 - We will provide draggy of 0-60 and so on for 93 till we get to the 3.8 record. Currently (9-22-23) we have gotten down to 4.07 with me (250lb) / Full Tank of fuel / 93 octane only / Intake from CTS / 68F outside / +500DA. No other mods. this will be repeated with our current customers as soon as we release the update today/tomorrow. We plan to finish stage one with an upgrade HX which we have from Mercracing. If we missed something significant that is part of Stage1 call it out.
Update 9-28-23 - 0-60 now at 3.77
Stage2 - Single Pulley / Upgraded HX / 93 Octane / Intake from CTS
For all stages we will be testing out a Water Meth Kit from Snow Performance. It is not installed yet but as we start seeing how this platform reacts to nice cold meth/water we will also share those results.
Lastly, Sorry it took us so long to get to the CREC Motor! After this is done you can count on a B9 Tune being released ;-)

Any plans for 91 tunes? Ya know, for those of us without 93 on every corner?

sure the 91 tune is just a bit less timing then the 93 tune. we probably wont post 91 Dyno numbers but we use a local station to fill the tank with 91 when we finish up that tune. The CREC platform adapts pretty well too so im not super worried about it and yes that will be available.

Interested in the permanent SC lock. Is it true in 'S' mode the SC is locked, and it's just 'D' mode that utilizes the clutch? That's what it feels like to me and I'm usually always in 'S' because of that, but still not 100% certain if it's just my perception.
It would be nice to drive in 'D' mode -- lower RPM up/down shifts for just daily driving, without feeling the slip of my toasted SC clutch when I do put my foot in it a little, if that is the case.
Also, the flex/map switching - would that be full time real time ECU adjustment no matter what filled with (just a 15+ minute easy drive for fuel trims to adapt) or do you mean like quick change with a cruise control stalk button instead of plugging in OBD2 to flash different map?

There are a ton of conditions for when its disconnected vs connected. The constant open closed of the clutches is whats wearing them out. The Jackal Shop A6 has now been on this tune for 2 weeks with no issues and great MPG + Performance. Others have been on it for much longer at this point. Just need to finish up a bit of an install from a recent purchase we made from SCSkunkwerks and will be releasing a complete writeup when Flex is ready to go. it will be no map switching full Flex support for stages that can support it. We will release required components if any for each stage as well.

Alright after a bit of cooler weather finally we have broken what "was" the stage 1 0-60 record. Only modification is the Tune and a CTS intake so far. Much more to come when we get some dyno time with the A6 and get it more dialed in.

Awesome! So would the locked SC clutch tune eliminate the constant check engine light that you get from running a welded clutch? Really looking forward to more numbers/progress on this. We haven’t had much/any tuning support for welded/ported and water meth before. Thanks for working on this platform. 🙏

Yes if you order the tune just put that in the notes if you did indeed weld it. Full support with no torque issues.

Not to ask dumb questions... but when we ordered the CREC tune. It comes with pre-locked SC tune correct?... we do not have to weld it and then tell you to lock it?

Silly question. Would it be possible to keep the clutch unlocked all the time? Like, have it locked in all other drive modes, but if you have Economy mode enabled have that mode be open? I use that as my snow mode, just wondering if there's any possibility for that.

Question on map switching. Any ETA on this feature? What would be the procedure to switch map, is it going to on the fly from steeling wheel control? Could end user configure their own maps like stock/93 stage 1/e85/valet?

I'm just excited to see what Jackal can do. So far i've run/tried APR, 034, and IE on my car. It will be nice to see what Jackal can bring to the table.

The fact they figured out how to lock the clutch via software inspires confidence they'll push the platform. I was left pretty jaded about the CREC after spending countless hours logging and doing revisions with IE, just to end up at 11.1. But Tony seems to really know what he's doing. I've moved on from the platform, and Tony is currently tuning my S7 on Pinnacle TS1s, but I still have a soft spot for that supercharged 3.0.

Rubio... you had or have the IE CREC tune with the tcu.... stage 1 or 2 single pulley? I was going to buy a C7.5 with that the IE tune, but seemed like they left that CREC tune go to the way side because of the SC clutch issue. Anyways you ran a 11.1 quartermile with stage 1 e85 or stage 2 e85 with single pulley?

Now this would be a real game changer "if" its possible.
Not everyone is dragging their CREC, and they really are a great daily driver, combining fairly good fuel consumption with power potential. "IF" the above can happen, coupled with a change in mapping I assume, it really would be a true economy mode.
I've only had my tune on for 140miles, so its a bit early yet, but so far I've seen a reduction in MPG (driving normally, not when flooring it lol), but as I say, very very early days, and I assume it'll adapt some more.
A genuine economy mode would be perfection! (might be completely impossible and fairy tail stuff though haha)

Hello Audizine members, and I apologize for the slowdown in progress reports on this platform. There have been significant changes, growth, and expansion on almost all Audi Platforms that we currently support and will support in the coming months. Last year, we purchased a CREC 4M Q7, for which tuning is complete for stage 1 and 2. The transmission posed a unique challenge, as it didn't follow the same logic as the A6/S5/S4 CREC Platforms. Additionally, we acquired a B8S4 from a close friend to fine-tune the DL501 logic in the Stage 2+ space.
But enough with the excuses; it's time for updates:
1) Fueling - The fueling system on these cars was the crux of why there is probably minimal support for them. Despite adding Multiport, the car's logic constantly finds an excuse not to have the MPI on. While this hasn't been an issue for our stage 1/2/2+ for 93 octane, it immediately becomes a problem when working on E40 tuning, even on the stock pulley. We spent a lot of time learning the logic and conducting extensive testing. Currently, there is one last bug we are finishing this week (which almost no one notices), but if you had straight pipes and enjoyed revving, the car would hang the throttle a bit because it wanted, again, to turn off MPI. Once we worked around that, we gained full control of MPI, and it's rock solid with no loss to MPG. I mention MPG, even though the target of the platform is not primarily focused on it. Still, about 1/4 of the people tuning or moving over constantly ask about the MPG difference of running these locked vs. not locked. Be assured we have well over 10 tanks of fuel into this new strategy, and on average, we are seeing (at the pump) 24-28mpg on mixed short and long trips. It sits more on the 27mpg number if it's all highway. This is with the family in the car. The Q7 is averaging 21-22 with a full family, luggage, and a Thule roof rack on long trips. Without the family, I'm seeing 24+ mpg. I will have more tanks of gas through that once the A/C system is sorted. Moving along, the fueling control has been dialed in, so now we can mix up the fuel and finish the stage 1 E40 and E85 tunes in the coming weeks.
2) We received the GAS Clutch Delete Kit, which we will 100% be using on the A6 in the coming weeks. We can provide our installation feedback, but be assured that if you move to a welded or GAS or any vendor clutch delete, as we know of at least one more company releasing it soon, the tune works fine and won't throw a code.
3) Draggy Mode - The AL551 and AL552 platforms will have a pre-release coming out soon for our testers who have been providing AWESOME driving feedback and logs to us with these tunes. We will not release "all" software codes at once, but as we build out this mode, you will start to see it show up on the flashing platform. Draggy Mode was named from the BMW world, and I didn't want to make some random name because it made sense. In sport mode, you will have AMAX "type" shifting. It won't be full 0 torque reduction shifts, but I have to say it puts a big smile on my face in the A6 when it shifts. Typically, I don't drive in sport mode in the A6, but I find myself moving back to it constantly, especially when the kids are in the car with me.
4) Maintenance - We will be releasing something here and on Facebook if you follow us there too, to talk about our purchases in the last 12 months on this platform. We found a bunch of gotchas, even though we did our best to purchase the best option for tuning. We also want to set a baseline for what you should be looking at on this platform, especially if you're new to it or your car. We have seen HUGE differences in cars, and now that we are seeing enough of them, it's time to share the details. While neither of us really has the free time to do things on this side like live chats, social media blasts, we want to try giving back a bit more than we currently are. So stay tuned, and we thank everyone for their support while we build this out. Lots coming in 2024 for "all" platforms. Stay Tuned.

Updates, once again - CREC Updates set to be released this week will finalize the Stage 1/2 tunes for 93/91. We have made significant progress on all fronts to keep this SC locked while still ensuring a super smooth driving experience. The adjustments have greatly improved situations where the A6 shifts down to 1200rpm or lower, eliminating the previous issues of chugging or sluggishness. This fix will be released by the end of the week.
Additionally, we have completed the process of locking in the MPI injectors without affecting the idle or how the RPMs decrease when revving the car while stationary. This aspect was addressed based on valuable feedback. With one more travel trip planned for this week, we will have good amount of miles on this tune, allowing us to provide updated MPG figures. One we return the tank will be mixed to E40 and E Updates will start on stage 1.
Although the wait for these updates was longer than I initially thought, the important thing is the continued progress. We are constantly testing these files ourselves to make sure your motors are safe during the process.

Testing Testing and more testing. Finished final testing 93 octane on stage 1/2 this week. did over 700 miles on the round trip this week in the A6, ruined some peoples nights racing on the way, and still managed 30MPG both ways. This included 99% highway driving from Mass to NJ and then back to Mass. The temp was about the same, too cold, and i didnt have a single hiccup. Finishing one DL501 issue and then back to the E40 as promised. Shouldn't be too hard to finish that up. Hope this is helpful!

so have been reading this thread with interest. I have a totally stock 2016 gas A7 with a stage one EPL tune tranny done also. Can't say it exactly rocked my world. Would a Jackal stage one tune, tranny too ,be much of a change? Is it flashed? How much and how's it done? Sorry for being kinda lame but I guess i am[confused]

Whats up brotha, I know im super late to the thread lol but was wondering out of all the flash companies you ran on the c7.5, which you felt the most satisfied with both power and reliability wise for either the ecu/tcu or both even. Have been doing my research for a few months now and still cant decide so I knocked all the cosmetics out first and got dealer approval warranty wise after the tune yesterday.
