Damn outer is seized into the inner... I tried and tried but couldn't get it... Even after soaking for a week with penetrating lube... I am going to take it to a shop tomorrow for an estimate... Sucks... Oh yeah, car only has 60k on it too... This will be the first I had to take the car in for anything... Maybe I can do the outters and inners at the same time to make it easier? What do you guys think?

yeah, you need to replace the inners too. they are usually the most problom prone. don't take it to the shop, do inners with the outers and save your money

I've found Snap on wrenches to be too thick to fit inbetween the jam nut and the rod. I have some Matco wrenches that fit though...

Get yourself a new inner tierod and replace them both at once, happens all the time.

yeah that is a pretty good price. the TRE's aren't too bad at all. the alighment is a bitch though unless you have crazy monkey arms

Yeah, everything about Oklahoma sucks except for the price of everything!! But then again Arkansas and Mississippi are a bit cheaper than here too...

how bad is it to have a tie rod done with no alignment? I had mine done when my timing belt was done, he charged me 30 for the tie rod and free install so i doubt he did an alignment. (btw it was the tie rod end)

My car had the same deal...my tie-rods weren't even bad, I went to get my car aligned and the shop couldnt do it 100% because they were semi-seized. Needless to say I installed all brand new inner and outer ends and had it aligned finally. The parts themselves are relativley cheap.
