I'm not a 1.8t guy, but isn't a DV a blow off valve that it routed to the intake? Also known as a recirculating BOV?

It's not really a BOV per se, as it doesn't "blow" anything, it does just what its name implies...it diverts (or recirculates) air back through the air intake tract, whereas a true BOV releases the air into the atmosphere.

any bov can be recirculated, its just called a blow off valve by some. The more "technical" term would by pressure bypass valve. So they are the same thing, just the ones audi and vw guys prefer are recirculated rather than vented to atmosphere. I was just wondering if the actual valve itself is different, not just what it does with the pressure. I think the HKS ssqv can be configured to recirculate. Well any "bov" can for that matter.
