Looking into replacing all of my speakers except the subwoofer. Im a big JL Audio fan, And Infinity. I can't seem to find mounting sizes anywhere, especially depth. Do y'all have a listing of what i can put into this car? I don't feel crutchfield is accurate.

Probably going to find more specifics to the B8 A5 chassis in the B8 A5 forum. The front is going to be the same as a B8 A4. The rear sides will be different, but the rear deck sub could be the same.

Honestly a lot of the speakers aren't really standard sizes in the B&O systems. It's best to open the panels and measure what you have. It's not as hard as that sounds.

All of the speakers in the dash have integral mounting brackets molded into the frame of the speaker so you would need to either purchase aftermarket brackets or make your own. There are a couple of aftermarket speakers that will fit in the outer dash locations with little or no modifications, such as the FaitalPro 3FE22, the Audison Voce AV 3.0 or the Hertz Mille Legend 700.3. The speakers in the rear deck for the B&O system are the same as the front outer dash speakers. I don't know of any aftermarket speakers that will fit in the center dash without the need for a mounting bracket. The tweeters in the doors have flanges that lock into a bayonet style mount (i.e, insert and twist). The tweeters in the front door sail panels lock in place with clips in the panel frame. The door speakers have mounting flanges as part of the speaker frame. You can buy aftermarket adapters for those to mount your own speakers, the most popular woofer size being 6.5".

You can use all audison speakers to improve your sound stage. I had the 8 inch ap8 at first. Sound good and clean just not loud enough for me and not enough midbass. So I switched to the prv 8 inch low shallow mount. Great midbass and clean output for those days I want to be obnoxious. For the dash I used DD audio for the center and audison voce 3.0 for the outers in the front and rear. Loud and clean mids. The only modifying done was to fit the prv 8s into the stock housing to the doors. Still haven't switched the tweets yet. I have some old JL audio C2 tweeters that I had laying around so I may just try those. Or see if I can fit some pro audios in the sails. But all in all the system sounds great for what it is with the 2 jl 13w6v2 in a fourth order. I'm used to comp systems so this is a lil low power for me but I wanted the car light so I can enjoy the dual pulley 3.0.
