2016 A6 3.0 s-line
Stock with 91xxx miles.

There was still some life left on the fronts, but a mushy pedal and vibrations after repeated stops in highway traffic left me aggravated.

Took the car to the Indy, and got all 4 corners done, added Goodrich Stainless Steel brake lines, and got a full bleed (ABS as well of course).

They even cleaned the calipers and they look NEW.

WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!
No more squishy pedal. Braking feel is firm and consistent. Couldn't be happier. They did a great job.

Zimmerman rotors, akebono rear pads and textar front pads (dunno why mixed but I don't care it feels great).

Highly recommend the brake lines. It's pretty much night and day

So clean it's unreal. Looks like they painted them.

I wonder exactly how they cleaned them. Wire brush or wheel? They do look as though they are painted.

Must have. Even the brake shields behind the rotors are cleaned...damn.
I wonder what they can do with suspension...

Wow! Your mechanic really cares about their work given the calipers. I did Zimmermann rotors and Akebono pads and my brakes are a lot better but pedal is still mushy. I'm working with 12-year-old brake fluid (build date 9/2011) so I need to get them done asap.

Called indy. He said they clean them and coat them with a special coating but it's not paint.

Very nice! I replaced my brakes along with a flush and still have some vibrations that can get pretty bad at times under braking scenarios only. Maybe I'll try lines next as I find it hard to believe I got rotors that aren't true. I also think if it were something like rotors it would present itself more consistently than it does.

Could be control arms manifesting themselves.

No the brakes aren't painted or powder coated. I understand they just cleaned them really well and then spray them (and the rotors) with an anti corrosion spray....I have no idea what it is.

Bill was $2000: that's all 4 rotors and pads, a sensor, a full bleed of the ABS system, and installing SS lines i supplies then with (2hrs of labor).

High speed braking as tested yesterday is quite impressive compared to what it was before. Maybe I just had shitty brakes for the last 4 years of ownership.

I do my customers stuff in Cerakote. Rustproof when done right and virtually indestructible otherwise! Comes in tons of colors and I can custom mix it to get even closer!

And it makes cleaning them a breeze as nothing sticks to the ceramic. Brake dust generally rinses off!

A good option for a long term fix!

Cheers,
