Hey guys,
I recently replaced PCV and thermostat on my C7 3.0T, bled the system properly (I think) and engine runs okay.
After several days check engine light came on, here's the ODIS DTC report;
P199E00 ($324A / 12874) Cylinder head coolant valve Open circuit
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DTC text: Cylinder head coolant valve Open circuit
DTC ambient conditions
Date 20:10:37 - 12.07.2023
Odometer reading 127,407 km
Priority 2
Malfunction frequency counter 1
Unlearning counter 255
Engine rpm 0.00 1/min
Normed load value 0.0 %
Vehicle speed 0 km/h
Coolant temperature 87 °C
Intake air temperature 68 °C
Ambient air pressure 1,000 mbar
Voltage terminal 30 11.984 V
Dynamic environmental data 20 96 28 11 7D 00 11 DC 00 11 D1 B5 11 0E 00 12 00 00 15 D2 00
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Cylinder head coolant valve", sounds very much like thermostat, but CGXB does not have an electronic thermostat..
So, ran some research on Google about P199E, all I could find was threads related to 4.2L or 3.0 TDI. Nothing's easy..
Then I found something on ELSA and ETKA, check this out;

#14 thing. Sounds very familiar, 'coolant valve for cylinder head (N489)', huh?

It's located near the water pump, #6. (They actually share the solenoid with triplets on supercharger???)
Funny thing is that I did NOT even touch this N489 thing when I replaced thermostat!!! What in the heck..
Does anyone have an experience with having DTC P199E on 3.0T because of this N489? I'm not sure there's a way to test this thing with ODIS. Sigh..
Thanks in advance! :)
