This was an issue when I bought the car, but it's gotten under the skin enough to ask and address. Did a search but guessing my google fu is sub par today!

This little Alum Dash Trim, obviously faux, has wrinkles and the beginning of cracking that will eventually lead to peeling, so I am wondering if others have had this issue and what are the fixes for it (if any)?

Not looking forward to addressing this, but as "in your face" as it is, I'll need to eventually! It's driving me bonkers!!! [headbang]

Cheers!!

From the pics. it looks like it was spray coated or wrapped. Have you tried peeling it off? Did the previous owner add the carbon fiber trim shown on the dash panel and coat / wrap the layered alum trim at the bottom of the windshield? FWIW, I prefer the layered alum look.

It's OEM trim. It's all the same flowing out onto the doors and on the center console.

This car has carbon/aluminum accents all over that are doing just fine... I think this one just suffered due to the location (hot dash), the fact that it's a functional vent (rapid cooling) and alum over plastic... so now I get to fix it! [wrench]
