2016 S6 Prestige. Any way to change the default screen where the gauges are? it starts up with the "Short Term Data", i'd rather it started with the nav maps.

Are you referring to the dashboard screen (not the MMI screen)? To my knowledge it always starts up with whatever screen was displayed when the engine was last turned off. The controls on the left side of the steering wheel scroll through the different functions. You do have a "face-lift" car so it may behave differently from mine.

yes, the dashboard screen. mine defaults to the Short Term Data screen, no matter what i have it on when i turn the car off.

my 2016 s6 retains the last screen from shutoff. As does mine. Maybe it was a setting I changed with OBD11 though?

Not that this helps your situation, but my 2016 A7 also stays on whichever screen I had it on prior to shutoff.

Try rebooting MMI to clear memory?

Maybe ask your question in a VCDS thread. I don't recall a setting for driver info screen on startup, but those experts might. There is a setting for audio volume on startup. so who knows?
