I’m sure I’m not the only person on here who thinks the worst-designed part of our cars is the headlight switch assembly, and I can’t be the only one who has pushed the dial in by accidentally hitting it with my knee getting in or out of the car. But I had a new event this morning—I hit a bump and the piece pictures here fell off (the tabs on the reverse side look broken). A search of the part number tells me it is a trim panel used in the A7/S7/RS7, and it appears to be from the underside of the headlight switch assembly, closer to the centerline. But it’s not apparent from peeking under my dash precisely where it goes.
Would anyone be willing to snap a quick photo of the underside of their dash for me? Thanks in advance.

It's right up next to the steering wheel. Both of mine broke off :/

Never had the issue of banging my knee into it. But I did notice your dash brightness knob was missing the end piece. I recently had that break on mine. Bought a whole new light assembly solely for that end piece and glued it onto me. Best $25 spend lol
