powersteering + lower control arm?

Hello guys,
this weekend I was measuring the flex pipes right after the cats, ratling noise around 1200rpm is driving me crazy for about 2 months now so I want to weld a new flex pieces.
Car: 2012 A6 C7 Avant S-line 3.0tfsi, mileage 94k km

Anyway I noticed 2 things:

After removing transmission steel plate undercover(custom one, already threw out the plastic junk away), I noticed power steering has a small leak, did not notice it before in the driveway, but several drops has accumulated on the tray from the inner side.
I am a bit confussed, to me the oil looks more like engine oil, black and more thick than powersteering fluid. I have yet to check the powersteering fluid level, if it is below MIN.
Perhaps valve cover gasket is dripping in the back and oil drips all the way down to power steering rack? Any ideas?

Another thing is, the bushing in the lower arm(elsa calls it suspension guide? left side 4G0 407 693) has seen better days.
I would like to replace the arm, how challenging task is it? and do I need any specific tools? Highly welcomed short guide on this.

I would think it's engine oil since these cars should have an electric steering rack.

Replacing the lower control arm isn't difficult per se, but accessibility can be a headache for those bolts, you'll want a ball joint separator, and remember to tighten everything at proper ride height. You can probably find a guide on YouTube or on here for some other chassis (B8, B7, C6 etc--the general process is the same).

I will clean the back side of the engine as much as possible and then check on the leaks again.

as for the lower control arm, got it. let me find some Youtube video.
