I used to track my BMW M4 and before that my Infiniti G35. Is the S6 too heavy for weekend track days?

I don't think it is too heavy. I've seen 5,000 pound 70's land yachts survive a lemons race.
I would mainly be worried about the A/W intercooler set up that is easy to heatsoak. I could be wrong, I haven't used my car on the track.
I mean, heavier cars are harder on literally every wear part, and if you have ever done a track day, you know you may as well have a new set of brakes and probably tires ready to go on.

Yes, there are people in this forum that has posted track day experiences for quite a while now - use the search function. You'd very likely want some F/R sway bars, and would imagine anyone that does track their car fairly frequently has this upgrade (or needs it). Sport Diff will be in its element on the track! Hope you got the sport seats too ;)

thanks! i'll look into the sway bars.
on my previous cars, i towed a small trailer which held race wheels with R-Comp tires, as well as some tools and such, for quick brake pad changes, with race/track pads for the track.
i did not get the sport seats, comfort seats are actually really nice, IMO. but we'll see

Unfortunately, brake pad changes on these Brembo's aren't as easy compared to other Brembo models that have slide pins and can be changed from the back of the caliper. There are some that have had no problems with their brakes tracking, others ate up pads/rotors. One common theme you will see is people changing to stainless braided lines as well, whether tracking or not

You may also want to research various aftermarket bits and pieces that stiffen up the chassis a little, such as the 034 drivetrain inserts and JXB carrier MattyMarkey has. Another option is the Alu Kreuz Billet Aluminum Drivetrain Stabilizer from Eurocode. Consensus of AZ threads on sway bars lean toward those from H&R.
