I have seen RS front grille swap discussions ... and heard the reviews ... Looks awesome ... but, then I viewed the Dealership price ... OMG

RS7, w/front camera, black/carbon. RS7, w/night vision, black/carbon. $ 4,810.66

cameras are not included ... just the mounts ...??

The reviews about certain fitment issues ... seem very picky now ...

While some people have done a full bumper, most of us just swap with an RS style grill off eBay for a few hundred bucks

Yeah the dealer will bang you hard in the butt cheeks for something like that. Pick up an eBay or Amazon grill for a few hundred and for a bottle of bourbon a fellow Audi freak can help you install it or pay a few hundred to a body shop for them to do if you cannot do it yourself.

Not the best comparison of OE and aftermarket, the OE carbon parts are insane money in general and aftermarket doesn't really offer a carbon lower surround. With the 7, there are less issues with top view stitching of the camera views which is an annoying thing if you notice it and see it every time. But yes, as you said OE gets you the correct mounting hardware for cameras, emblems, and parking sensors and you have the option of getting an actual crash bar cover. My TDI RS grille I found used and cost probably 1-1.2k total.

Mine is quite old 6 years, and still looks great, for just the grille with quattro and carbon was 1900, IIRC. I'm not a fan of copycat parts that IMO miss the mark and don't meet the standard.

I tried one of the Stone Carbon W12 style grilles for my A8. It looked good but arrived with a broken tab, which was enough for me to buy OE, the feel, fit and finish are totally different.
