I updated my 2017 A6 MMI's firmware but only to realize that I shouldn't tick the bose box when updating...

Now the car has no sound whatsoever, does anyone know if there's a way to fix it without going to the dealer?[=(]

My bad for not researching enough before updating the firmware..[=(]

Did you contact the seller of the update software you used?

Hi everyone. The problem was solved by updating a Bose file. Audi_carplay @ telegram was able to help me out by providing me a correct version of the Bose file to my MMI system. He’s super patient and professional, would strongly recommend him to anyone who wants to update their c7.5 mmi ☺️

What does updating the mmi do and how much does it cost? Would you recommend it?

It's mainly for bug fixes, for example, being able to adjust bass and treble setting when carplay is activated, or remember audi side assist brightness setting in the menu, little tiny stuff like that.

The main reason for the update is to activate carplay for c7.5 models, if your car already has carplay, I'd say don't bother with it. Cost was around 50 euros.
