Audi S7, start getting left rear brake squeek really bad after one track days, after I did some heavy braking and brake faded.

Was running on ebc yellow pad, first I went to machined my rear rotor, which is not standard Audi rotors, it's actually made by a company called DBA. It make no difference

Noise never went away, it's the same, then I went swob back to Audi original brake pads, the sqeeking noise stay the same, nothing changed.

Only time brake noise stop for a while is when I do like an initial run in the pad, like 6 hard braking, noise come back after about the next day.

It just happened every time I step on brake slowly to a full stop.

Any suggestions what else I can change to help the noise? My brake piston seems fine not rusting.

Only thing I can try is maybe buy the original Audi rotors? I.m running original rotors on the front with ebc yellow, seems fine.

Any help suggestions would be really appreciated, the noise drive me crazy every time I brake, thanks

You should put EBC RedStuff pads for road driving

EBC YellowStuff better for for track.

The RedStuff have pretty much zero dust, which is the main cause of the brake squeal [wrench]

OEM pads are worse for brake dust, which is the cause for the squeal.

How do you know it’s the rear rotor? Typically it’s the fronts

Yeah definitely the rear as I got my partner driving it slowly, I hear all come from the left rear side.

Maybe I try another set of rotor or different pad?

OEM pad’s definitely squeal, that’s why I changed all 4 corners to RedStuff’s after 4000 miles [race]

Hmmm ... my $0.02 ... but, the shims are the isolation device for the pads ... that is my take ...

Try new or different shims ... or swap shims from side to side ...

There are no shims in the rear brakes. Only fronts have them. Strange it’s the rears squeaking, but yeah, try out new rotors and pads (non OEM)

One simple thing to do is brush on brake lubricant on the backsides of the pads that comes in contact with piston and caliper.

I already machined the rotors, maybe I try another brand of padsy help?

I’d suggest taking both sets of rear pads out, cleaning, pads & rotors and very lightly greasing back of pad where contacting caliper.

That worked for squeaky rears on my wife’s Q7 and has continued to keep them quiet since last summer.
