No. The entire assembly needs to be replaced and it’s a big job. Over $3k

It’s another huge flaw in design that VW won’t own up to. You’ll find hundreds of people in the forums having the same issue. I was lucky enough that mine did it under warranty, but both my A3 and S3 had the same issue

Can you share some details on your fix? How is it holding up? Did you wrap over it?

Its like welding metal when it cracks...except the material is plastic and the weld/filler is the JB glue.

I used a dremel and a fine bit to route then crack and or stop drill its end(if needed) and filled it with JB.

I made a V shaped place for the JB to work inside the crack. But did not go through the plastic to its other side.

After it dried I sanded the repair down and painted it gloss black. Later I covered the repairs(both sides) with black wrap.

How many "years" you planning on keeping the car?

I seem to be the only person here who has DIY repaired the sunroof surround cracks. [wrench]

There doesn't seem to be any issue with just leaving it as is.. Mine has had those cracks for years. Doesn't leak in anywhere. Doesn't feel like anything to get to worried about though it annoys me too.
