I have had this fueling issue for the last 6 months and I finally fixed it. I am only documenting for anyone who will be googling for the solution in the future, since information on the problem is very scarce.

Engine code: CGWB

Symptoms of the problem:
1. Initially, slow cranking. Takes a second or more than normal. It progressively becomes worse to a point of failure to crank on the first try
2. Error codes for P310B - Low fuel pressure regulation, P3073 - Fuel Pump Circuit Electrical malfunction
3. The LPFP connector will show pink on the connectors (Color of petrol fuel, connectors are getting too hot and melting the plastic) 302126

Attempted fixes:
1. Replaced the LPFP three times
2. Replaced the HPFP and cam follower

Final Solution
1. Replaced the LPFP controller. It is located on top of the fuel tank and you have to lower the fuel tank to be able to remove it. Part number for A7 was 4G0 906 093F. Other models, replace your chasis platform for 4G0 and it should work.

Thanks.

Yeah, thanks for sharing. I’ve luckily never had any fueling issues on my numerous Audis but for future reference, what are the locations of both the HP and LP fuel pumps on the 3.0t?

The lpfp is in tank. The hpfp is on the front of the engine, left to the supercharger pulley
