Driving my daughter to violin lessons today and caught a tiny rock thrown by a landscape crews weed whacker. Got a beautiful crack in my drivers side window now. It doesn’t look like replacement windows are too expensive, under $200 online from what I’ve seen so far. Anyone have any links to replacing them, getting the door cards off, any helpful DIY’s or tricks? Or should I let a glass shop do it? I have no idea how much the run. I’m pretty mechanically inclined myself, usually do all my own work. Any help is appreciated guys!

There's 2 styles of glass, some are the double pane laminated glass which I bet you have since it developed a crack and not completely shattered like the single pane tempered glass. Both will fit but it will be up to you which one to go with. I had a local glass company come out and fit mine with the single pane against what I asked of them, but it was $450 or so. They also messed up my chrome trim around the window and apparently that doesn't have to come off to replace. It's for sure a diy job unless you need it done asap like I did.

Yea I’m almost positive it’s the double pane laminated glass. Unless I’m looking in the wrong spot, does anyone have a part number? I can’t seem to find one on the glass

A part number for which of your three Audis? Knowing model and year would help the parts experts here.

Sorry I should have clarified. 2016 A6. I figured since I was in the C7 A6 forum….anyways, I found the part number for the glass I need on Audi’s parts dept. website. Should have done that in the first place, idk why I blanked on it. $646 for the glass, fortunately when I contacted my insurance company this morning they’ll cover it. Issue solved!
